How should I take care of my jewellery?
MèRIDESIGNS uses high quality materials in all jewellery, here are a few tips to help you take the best care of your new piece.

-
Don’t swim or shower in your jewellery - avoid direct contact with water (salt or fresh), excessive perspiration, and chemicals such as chlorine, sulphur detergent and lotion to stop tarnishing.

-
Keep jewellery stored away from heating vents, window sills or in the car - too much light, air or heat can deteriorate the quality of the plating of some of the metals.

-
Take off your jewellery before exercising or before you go to bed. Perspiration and body oils can tarnish the piece.

-
Clean your plated jewellery by wiping your piece lightly with a damp cotton cloth to remove surface dirt or dust.

-
Always make sure your jewellery is dry before you store it to keep it safe from moisture and tarnishing.

-
Store pieces carefully and separately. Ideally in a soft, lined box or pouch, and although they look fantastic when worn together - keep pieces apart when not in use so they don’t rub together or get tangled up.

-
All metals apart from gold will oxidise and change colour over time. Constant wear will give jewellery a patina (a greenish layer) and even silver will remain shiny if worn every regularly.

-
MèRIDESIGNS is not responsible for any damage, discolouration, or change in material properties over time. But if you take good care of the pieces, they will last a long time.
